Folks, I realize we are in a recession, but I just can't help looking at baby clothes right now. Holy cow. And let me tell you about my newest obsession with a little store called Janie and Jack.
I love the weekend because that just means I get to spend it with my family. Good times to be had for sure. Of course, poor DH had to work last night's Saturday service so I couldn't really spend the evening with him. We were supposed to go my sister's engagement party at some really cool bar (even though I can't drink my fabulous sister had a soda waiting for me because....she is just that thoughtful), but he came home late and I fell asleep. Such is the life of the pregnant woman.
I did however get to watch a pageant. Y'all know how much I love pageants. I was rooting for Miss California because she was just so dang cute and tiny! But she didn't win.
Miss Indiana did..although to be honest I didn't even see her placing. But oh well!
Madi has a nasty cough and runny nose (again) and so we are home from church this evening. That really stinks but to kill time while she is napping I decided to browse around Etsy. Yes, I realize I could be cleaning my house and taking down the Christmas tree that is STILL up, but my priorities are screwed up as you can see =).
A few favorites that I have saved and am itching to press the purchase button on:
Just discovered this gal's shop. WOW! I love how vintage and funky and girly her stuff is. Must.Have. And I am sure it will help my appearance since I am prego. BTunique. And such a cute name for a shop.
Love this necklace. I love vintage looking jewelry. Just gorgeous. The Ardent Sparrow is quickly becoming my new favorite shop.
And I want this wrap for BBH:
TheMoby Wrap. So fun and I love this color.
I probably should really step away from the computer as my bank account may be in HUGE trouble if I don't.
I hope you all have a wonderful Sunday evening.
See I am going to be talking about lady things...you know like bras, jeans and how I desperately want to be a jean snob because of this person and this person...I completely blame them for wanting sweet designer jeans. Now run along and let me talk to the girls!
Okay ladies...I had a little bit of a traumatic experience this weekend. For those of you who have ever been pregnant or are currently pregnant, I think you can understand what I am going to say. See on Saturday, the Harper family decided to go to the mall. I desperately needed a maternity/nursing bra because, well, let's just say that my oh so cute bra from Victoria Secret was not going to work anymore. It was really rather depressing actually. So I wander into Mimi Maternity, which has apparently merged with A Pea In A Pod because their clothes are not as frumpy as I remember them to be. Fabulous. I don't like frumpy pregnant women clothes.
So I walk over to the bra and panties section and the nice gal there offers to measure me. I am thinking in my head that I surely could not have grown that much. But alas...ladies I HAVE! And can I just tell you that the girls are massive! Holy cow! At the risk of this blog suddenly showing up as an inappropriate site for those who read while at work...I am a size E!!!!!!
Please cry with me. Why on earth women would undergo surgery to be that big is beyond me. Makes me want to slap them but that is a post for another day. Amen.
To get over my despair about this I decided to browse through the store holding my huge yet surprisingly cute undergarment before making a purchase. And then I saw these:
Oh.My.Goodness. Now I am normally not one to drool over gorgeous and expensive jeans. I am not a jean snob. But all of a sudden, I want to be in the club. Aren't they gorgeous? And apparently they will change your life! I am trying to find a good reason to splurge on these jeans but since I want to stay at home after Baby Boy Harper is born (we have yet to solidify a name so BBH will have to do!) it might not be a good idea to spend $200 on these jeans.
But boy oh boy is it tempting. I also have a few women willing to enable me and help me convince my hubby that these are necessary. And to be perfectly honest I think DH wants to be apart of the club too. Because don't think I didn't catch him eyeing those True Religion jeans at Nordstroms. Oh yeah Daniel...I CAUGHT YOU!
