There will be no Etsy Tuesday today. I apologize about that. I feel like I needed a little break from Etsy since I have been spending a lot of time there grabbing oh so fun gifts for loved ones this Christmas.
But I do want to hear from you.
With the hustle and bustle that often comes with this holiday season, we often forget to slow down and enjoy time with loved ones. Forget to reflect on the beauty and wonder of the season.
We forget about Jesus.
Not purposefully. But we allow the gift buying, holiday baking, house decorating to just stop. These things aren't bad. I love decorating my home in glittery holiday decor and the sweet and delicious smells of baked goods permeating the air.
And I won't lie I LOVE eating said baked goods.
I am excited for:
Sean's first Christmas
Singing Christmas Carols
Drinking Hot Cocoa with the family
Warm Fires and blankets on cold evenings
Watching movies like A Christmas Story and Elf
Christmas Eve services at church
Seeing my family together in one home.
Celebrating the birth of Christ.
So tell me....What are you most looking forward to this holiday season?
Hello my sweet bloggy friends. I hope you are all getting ready for Thanksgiving on Thursday. I cannot even tell you how excited I am for this weekend. I am so ready to eat myself silly. ;)
Now onto some Etsy goodness.
Painted White: handmade goodness galore. I adore handmade home decor items. They create such a warm and homey environment. Her page is featured on the home page of Etsy. ;)
4Leaf Boutique: Sweet items for your wee one. Makes great baby shower gifts! I heard about this shop through one of my dearest friends.
Post Road Vintage: Vintage items...nuff said!
Revolution Garden: Ummm this shop is just fun. Who doesn't want a beautiful mask? Would be perfect for a Masquerade party. Gorgeous!
My Patterned Mind: I just adore the clutches in this shop. And the patterns are to die for. So stylish and fun for any outfit that needs a little pop of color.
Happy shopping ;)
It's that time again! Let's just hop to it shall we?
NewFashionedWhispers: Gorgeous jewelry displayed in this shop. And the photography here makes the shop look even more delicious.
Sass & Peril: I love this shop because it is just adorable and fun.
Just so you know, I am not paid by any of the shops I feature on here. I just absolutely adore Etsy. I love what they do and I love the concept of handmade. I hope you are able to find a special gift from any one of these vendors for your loved one.
Hi All! It is Etsy Tuesday. I don't have a ton today as I was sick this weekend and couldn't stalk as many shops as I wanted to. hehe.
I am loving homey items lately. Anything that gets me in the mood for the holiday season and inspires me to create a home has been on the top of my list. Here are a few:
Sewn Natural: Natural and organic bedding and accessories for your wee one.
Teton Cocoa Company : Yummy cocoa. Shipped right to your door. Perfect for those chilly nights at home.
bstudio: More lovely pillows and even some scented sachets for your drawers.

Hi Everyone! I apologize for the lack of blogging the last few days. My precious 3 year old has been sick and is just barely recovering from her cold. I am thankful it wasn't H1N1 but it is still NO FUN for the kiddos when they are feeling yucky.
Below are some goodies for you all to check out. Enjoy!
Golden Shop : Got a little one whose birthday is coming up? Check out these adorable handmade personlized bibs and goodies.
Hooray Design Shop: I love the paper goods in this shop. I love the simplicity of the items.
Maihar Design: Getting Married? Need a ring pillow? This gal's shop is gorgeous!
Get cracking on that holiday shopping ;)
It is that time again for some more Etsy goodness. I am on my way to being done with all of my Christmas shopping by November. Seriously. That is my goal! No more waiting until the last minute to find gifts for those I love. And the best part? I can do it while sitting on my rear end drinking coffee.
Bean & The Sprout : Loving this type of jewelry right now. It totally speaks to me.
The Bungalow : Pretty headbands.
Le Papier Studio : Pretty Silhouette artwork
Polly Danger : Cuteness for crafty people
SeaUnicorn : Gorgeous pieces of jewelry
That is all for today friends. Enjoy browsing!
I have decided to declare Tuesday's as Etsy Tuesday because I am constantly adding etsy shops to my favorites and I have to share them with you all.
Etsy. Is. Addicting.
My apologies to my husband.
Anyways, above you can see Madi is rocking the Miss RubySue gear. Didn't I tell you I love that shop? I swear she gets plugged all the time on this blog. Obsessed with her goodies. And so is Madi. I have created a MONSTER! heeeee.
A few more shops for you gals (and guys.....Christmas is around the corner you know) to go check out:
Do you have little girls who love dressup? I do and I absolutely squealed with delight when I saw these beautiful creations. I can totally picture Madi wearing one of these tutu dresses. They would also be perfect for Halloween if you are having a hard time finding a unique costume for your little one.
I love home decor and these wreaths are to die for. I love how she creates different elements for each season/holiday. Glitter, ribbons, vintage items...this shop has me really excited. I have a few pieces that I may want to grab for Fall and Winter.
First of all, I LOVE the name of this gal's shop. Because truly, I feel like I am buried underneath so much laundry. And it never ends. Oh and I am sure that there is a laundry monster eating up all the socks too. This gal makes adorable burp cloths and tees for your wee one. I can never have enough burp cloths. Sean seems to think that he needs to share his milk with all of us. Not cute. LOL!
These hats I am seeing everywhere. Love them. Must have for Madi
Same type of shop but more styles for boys =)
I love these fun whimsical wallets and iPod carriers.
There you go! Happy shopping! What are your current Etsy faves?
Most of you know just how much I adore Etsy. I introduced one of my best friends to this site and she is now obsessed as well. I am in awe of how many creative people there are out there in this world. I am a huge advocate of buying and making homemade decor, jewelry and other goodness instead of always searching for them at a department store. Here are a couple of my newest faves:
My jaw literally dropped when I saw the goodness that was displayed at this gal's shop. I am secretly trying to figure out how I am going to get my hands on this lovely without getting caught by hubby. But alas he reads my blog and now he probably knows about my scheming. Boooo!
Her pieces are gorgeous and she has some gorgeous embellished dresses and tanks as well. I love how romantic everything looks. They would be perfect for Christmas gifts.
My bestie Sheena introduced me to this store after she showed off her GORGEOUS black handbag Thursday evening at our monthly dinner. I freaked out and demanded that she share the info with me. I am a sucker for gorgeous handbags and this one I want.
I have mentioned this shop before and I will mention her again. Probably one of the sweetest woman EVER and so creative. I LOVE her pieces. I already have one of her adorable headbands and I am really wanting more of her stuff. I don't know what it is but this shop always stops me in my tracks and has me in awe of her color combinations. I ADORE this shop.
This shop features handstamped jewelry and I love it. I think I might ask for this one for Christmas and get Sean and Madi's names stamped on them. Beautiful huh?
If you have a little girl like I do, then you will definitely want to check out these hair pieces. I adore them and I want to grab a couple for Madi. She has beautiful hair and she is really starting to get into hair accessories. I love that about having a girl. Everyday is dress up.
So support handmade and check these shops out. If you have shops that you love.....please share them with us! I love finding new shops!
I am oh so glad that today is Friday. I have been feeling completely out of sorts this week and it probably has to do with the fact that I am in my 3rd trimester and I am ready to be done!!!!! But I still have 78 days to go so I just need to hang in there and do what I can to get ready for BBH.
Oh, and to really clarify about yesterday's post since I had a dear commenter worry that I was too harsh for my hubby. I am not mad at him. I may have been irritated at the time but I got over it. I know he works really hard for me everyday and he does a million things for me even when I am being moody and the ever so hormonal pregnant woman. For instance:
He rubs my feet practically every single day!
Plays with Madison
Will cook dinner or bring it home when I am just feeling too tired (which is this last stretch it seems like EVERYDAY!)
Works hard at his job so that he can provide for us.
I try to be mostly positive and only post the good things about our relationship but that isn't always reality. Sometimes we just get on each other's nerves. I am not one to pretend that I am always happy or that I have the perfect life and the days are always filled with sunshine. The christian F word is Fine. Because we work with college students, they want to know about us and our relationship. And they can smell fake from a mile away. They know we love each other....but they want to know how we deal with each other and how we get through those oh so annoying and tough times together. I have found that sharing and having a sense of humor about the things we do to drive each other nuts have helped us as well as others see that we aren't perfect, everyone goes through this and that sometimes you just have to laugh (or blog and get it off your chest!). In no way was that post to throw him under the bus, although I can see how it could be read that way. I adore my husband. It was just a pet peeve.
Sometimes I wish Dan would guest blog on here so you could see two sides of the story...not just one! Because believe me I am not the easiest woman to live with! Especially when I am pregnant! I think the last pregnancy Dan thought I was Satan......he really needs to tell his side with that one. LOL!
Okay enough about that.
So how about some baby stuff. Does anyone know where I can find baby onsies that button to the side or button down? So I don't have to pull the thing over BBH's head? It would be so much easier when changing him, but I can't seem to find them. Any advice or links you have would be MUCH APPRECIATED!
Oh and thanks to our good friends Harm and Eric who donated a HUGE BLACK BAG full of baby boy clothes. Holy cow! I can't wait to go through those. BBH will be here before you know it!
Now I am off to look at my fave Etsy site for some goodness. I love that place. Makes me so happy.
