Do you see that stroller? That double stroller that you would only need to purchase if you had twins or a total of two children under the age of 5? Or in my friends case the age of 2? I am now officially afraid of having another baby.
Last night, I got to hang out with my friend Bre whose husband also happens to be at the Catalyst conference in Atlanta, Georgia. She has two beautiful children, a little boy and a little girl. She and her hubby make really cute babies. I had asked her if anymore were in the future and she said "Uh no". hehe.
Anyway, she and Tony recently bought their first home and I got to go see it. Let me just tell you that I ENVY her kitchen. It is gorgeous. Did I take pictures...no, because it isn't my house and it would be kind of weird to post pictures of HER kitchen on MY blog. I mean kind of weird right? Anyway, they live right across from a mall (heaven is what I call it) and we decided to grab dinner at Miguel Jr's mexican restaurant. And we took the double stroller for Madi and Ethan. Hence the reason why I am officially nervous about having baby #2.
The thing is freaking heavy! Holy cow I felt so completely wimpy and out of shape after pushing that thing. I felt bad because Bre had her infant strapped in the Bjorn carrier and I didn't want her to have to push the stroller as well. How bad would that look??! She told me it was heavy but I laughed it off thinking how heavy could it really be? OMG! I think I pulled a muscle.
But that isn't the best (or worst depending on how you look at it) part. So we get to Miguel's after huffing and puffing (me anyway) our way over and the hostess takes us to the patio seating area so we can view the lake. Gorgeous view. Too bad I can't remember it because I took a wrong turn with the stroller and that was it. Game over. I couldn't figure out for the life of me how to turn the dang thing without bumping chairs, servers and tables over. And what makes matters worse is that you have the hostess and the servers scrambling out of the way in order for me to turn the thing. So Bre took over (probably because she felt so bad that I was making a complete fool of myself trying to push the stroller that she TOLD me was really heavy.)
Unfortunately it doesn't get better. The instant she takes over and tries to manuever it...she hits chairs and Ethan FALLS OUT! Mind you we are in a restaurant people and we are both young and blonde! You can just imagine the looks that we were getting from everyone. Bre and I are just mortified and trying not to laugh (because hello her son fell out of the stroller...he wasn't hurt though!).
We finally got to sit down and eat, at least until Ethan started yelling and Madi had a meltdown. It is just pure chaos when you have three children. She told me that it is like that all the time. I am offically freaked out.
We did have a good time though. I love hanging out with her and since they live so far from us and with our busy ministry schedules, it can be hard to get together. AndI personally think Madi really loves little Ethan. He is one cute little guy.
Some more pics...sorry the photos aren't great. My arm was recovering from the massive workout I had with that stroller.

Have a wonderful weekend ya'll. Tonight and Saturday I am attending Knott Avenue's Women's Conference so I will post pictures of that hopefully this weekend!
