I made it through the evening without Dan. I got to talk to him over the phone last night and he updated me a little bit about how his trip was going. He had a little bit of trouble with the car rental, but all in all....it looks like he is enjoying himself. I also spoke with him this afternoon and he told me he has a ton of things to share. He said every speaker so far has caused him to really evaluate his own heart and to seek God's wisdom and provision even more. Hearing that from him makes my heart cry out. I know how much he wants to honor the Lord in everything he does and to be obedient to Him. I know I do. It makes me so happy to hear about the lessons he is learning from those who have walked this road far longer than he or I have. I can't wait for him to come home so I can more about the conference.
Last night, I met up with my girlfriends Michelle and Sheena at Chili's. So far we have been keeping our once a month dinner date so that we can catch up and hang out with each other. For the longest time we would go months and months without seeing each other and it would be really hard to keep track of all the events that were going on in our lives. I would get downright confused! So we decided a few months ago that once a month we would meet up for dinner to hang out and chat. I love these girls and I can't imagine them not being in my life.
Anyway, for dinner, Sheena brought her man Trevor for us to meet. Actually, this was the first time I had ever met him. Michelle has met him before. Overall, I think he was really nice and he seemed to really enjoy Sheena's company, as well as the company of her two crazy friends. Any guy who can put up with the three of us in one room is one heck of a guy. =) We are loud and we can talk your head off. So time will tell if this is the guy for her.
Tonight, I get to see my friend Breanne. Her hubby is also in Atlanta for the same conference. So while our hubbies are away from home...we get to party! lol.
Have a great Thursday everyone!
